We do not allow mask exemptions during registered group programming to protect our staff members who will be working in closer contact with climbers.
The requirements laid out by the government for medical mask exemptions are as follows:
Q: Why are you implementing a proof of vaccination requirement?
A: We must comply with provincial COVID-19 mandates in order to be able to continue to operate as a business. Lockdowns were devastating for us and frankly we don’t want to go back to that. If you have issues with the requirement please direct your feedback to the provincial government as we have absolutely no ability to alter government mandates.
Q: Will you be providing refunds for missed programming due to not meeting vaccine requirements?
A: No. We will provide credits for those who have pre-paid for programming. Those credits will remain on your account indefinitely and can be used at any time.
Q: I have a membership and will not meet vaccine requirements by Sept 22. What can I do?
A: EFT Members: You can freeze your account at any time for up to 6 months. Freeze requests must be in writing and must be received before September 22, 2021 to be applied to your account. Accounts frozen for longer than 6 months will be automatically terminated. You may also terminate your account by sending a cancellation request in writing before September 22, 2021.
Prepaid Members: You can freeze your account at any time for up to 6 months. Freeze requests must be in writing and must be received before September 22, 2021 to be applied to your account. Accounts frozen for longer than 6 months will be automatically terminated and the remaining credit will be placed on to your account.
Q: I have a child and would like to watch them climb. Do I need to show proof of vaccination just to watch?
A: Every person who enters into the facility over the age of 12 years will need to show proof of vaccination. If you are simply dropping off your child after checking them in you will not need to show proof of vaccination. All climbers under 14 must have supervision to climb so any climbers outside of staffed programming will need a supervisor who can show proof of vaccination.
